IRVINE, Calif. – Esther L. Snyder, who with her husband founded the iconic West Coast restaurant chain In-N-Out Burger, died Friday. She was 86. Esther and Harry Snyder opened the first In-N-Out drive-through stand in Baldwin Park in 1948. In-N-Out now has 202 restaurants in California, Arizona and Nevada.

Bayou Classic 2009 (New Orleans, La) Grambling defeats Southern 31-13

Frank Warren rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns and Grambling State defeated Southern University 31-13 in the 36th Bayou Classic on Saturday in the Louisiana Superdome.

The Tigers (7-4, 5-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference) won for the fifth time in six games to end their season. The Jaguars (6-4, 3-3) finish their season at Texas Southern next week.

Grambling led 14-13 at halftime and extended its lead to eight on the first possession of the second half when Warren scored on a 13-yard run. The Tigers extended their lead to 24-13 when Ari Johnson kicked a 24-yard field goal with 4:40 left in the game.

Warren completed the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run with 1 minute remaining. Grambling's conference-leading running game accounted for all four touchdowns as Greg Dillon ran 8 yards and Kiare Thompson ran 14 yards for first-quarter touchdowns.

BART Cops At It Again: Police Breaks Window With Man's Face & Drunk Charged! [Raw Footage]

MM reports "Authorities say a transit police officer was hurt and a suspect is in custody after an incident at a Bay Area Rapid Transit station Saturday evening. BART police Cmdr. Daniel Hartwig says officers responding to a report of a disturbance around 5:40 p.m. Saturday at the West Oakland station found a man police identified as Michael Joseph Gibson, who appeared to be intoxicated, challenging others More.. to fight and yelling racial slurs. Hartwig says when an officer tried to take the 37-year-old Gibson into custody, a window in the train station shattered, injuring both the suspect and the officer. Hartwig says the officer suffered several lacerations and a concussion. The officer has been treated and released. Hartwig says the suspect was treated for "minor lacerations" and arrested on suspicion of battery on an officer, resisting an officer and other charges."

Got Pot? Fly Out of Oakland

(Contra Costa Times) Oakland International Airport may be the nation’s only airport with a specific policy letting users of medical marijuana travel with the drug.

The policy is spelled out in a three-page document quietly enacted last year by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office. It states that if deputies determine someone is a qualified patient or primary caregiver as defined by California law and has eight ounces or less of the drug, he or she can keep it and board the plane.

Deputies warn the pot-carrying passengers that they may be committing a felony upon arrival when they set foot in a jurisdiction where medical marijuana is not recognized. But they say they don’t call ahead to alert authorities on the other end.

Bay Area: MC, Johnny Ca$h, was murdered on Thursday, March 29 in Vallejo, CA. According to the Vallejo Times, Ca$h was shot in the head multiple times in the parking lot of the Sereno Village Apartment complex. Born Johnny Castaneda Jr., the 25-year-old rapper signed to the late great Mac Dre’s record label, Thizz Entertainment, after Dre passed away in 2004. This affiliation with Mac Dre has lead many to speculate Ca$h’s murder is somehow connected to a string of violence that erupted after Dre’s murder.
